Tribute & Message From The Family

Mary Evelyn Webb age 89, of Uniopolis, died 8:05 a.m., Dec. 16 at her home. She was born April 23, 1925 in Uniopolis to the late Alva Barton and Ellen Evalena 'Evie' Smith Bowman. She married Donald Eugene Webb Sept. 16, 1945 and he survives in Uniopolis.
Mary had been an office manager and bookkeeper for Christie Equipment in Lima and Spencerville Impliment. She was a member of Uniopolis United Methodist Church and the Uniopolis Board of Public Affairs and a former member of the Eastern Star Chapter in Waynesfield. She was a loyal supporter of The Uniopolis Fire Department and Rescue Squad. She enjoyed bowling, golf and roller skating as well as being active with the Uniopolis Classic Country Music Hall and was an awesome cookie baker.
Additional survivors include a son: Ronald B. (Brenda) Webb of Lakeview and a daughter: Mary Elaine (Robert) Wenning of Uniopolis, 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter Brittany Nicole Wenning and 9 siblings: Barton, Russel, Alva Jr., Herbert and Velma Bowman, Cleta Johns, Tressie Burke, Bernice Babcock and Peggy Lou Schaeffer.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
The funeral will begin 10:30 a.m., Friday Dec. 19th at the funeral home with Rev. David Gordon and Rev. Rodney Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery near Uniopolis.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Uniopolis United Methodist Church or Uniopolis Fire and Rescue Department.
