R.I.P

Posted by Yvonne Miskech - North Las Vegas, NV   March 19, 2018

I LIKED NANATTE. I THOUGHT SHE WAS A GOOD ACTRESS. I DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS 97!! NANETTE WAS A FUNNY AND DELIGHTFUL ACTRESS IN ALL HER TV SHOWS. R.I.P. NANETTE.

Posted by YVONNE MISKECH - North Las Vegas, NV   March 19, 2018

I will carry with me always the warmth of Nanette's loving heart, joy of life, caring nature and contagious enthusiasm!
I was blessed to be able to meet and talk with her at length after a play (Plaza Suite) in Milwaukee in the early 70's, when I was a teen. What started as a few questions for a school project she quickly turned personal, and Nanette was so generous with her time and of herself.

(I still have her signature/the playbill!)
Nanette was so warm, and excited about my future, and so encouraging... it was like I got to be her kid for the day.

She also spoke into my life about pursuing drama as more than just a class. At the time I didn't see that happening; but God must have showed her something, as later in life I became part of a church Drama Troupe that used skits in ministry to many persons in prison, youth shelters, and other crossroads-of-life situations.

But mostly, I will never forget Nanette's "Mom-love" heart.

So to Nanette's son and family; I celebrate with you the joy of having had this wonderful lady in your lives!

I was a big fan of Nanette Fabray's griwing up in Ohio. We all gathered around the tv to watch her on Sid Caesar's show, and marveled at her great comedic timing and talent. I watched the Carol Burnett show where she sang and signed Somewhere Over The Rainbow with such tender sweetness. She did a comedic sketch on the Jack Benny Show that was hilarious. She could tap dance, and do whatever it took to entertain. Some years ago I met her at a concert in Costa Mesa, and introduced myself and was able to express how much I enjoyed her work. She was most delightful and it was a privilege to meet her. I'm glad she enjoyed a long successful and rewarding life. You were blessed.

My Mum and I used to have many laughs from Ms. Nanette Fabray. She was so funny. Funniest scene was when she was driving it learning to drive and wearing a floppy hat.
She will be missed by many! May she Rest In Peace.

She lived a long time, and I am sure she shared many wonderful life experiences. Nanette is now a part of the wonderful promise, which reads: "You will be with me in Paradise."

Love to the entire family.
