Pam was a powerful ally while helping to improve access to midwifery in NYS, especially Certified Professional Midwives and access to home birth. She was also a wonderful mentor to many advocates and help with the work of BirthNet in Albany, NY and with Citizens for Midwifery nationally. Thank you Pam! Carolyn Keefe, Albany, NY

Pam's legacies are many, among them the best of the collaborations through EGA-- mostly though, I too remember her dedication and sense of humor, and her affection for her family which always shone through

Pam was a force and a delight. As colleagues at the RFF offices, she and I were making up funder collaborations as we went along, both learning from one another and laughing at our various challenges. Her dedication was an inspiration. May her family and friends be comforted knowing she created a wide circle of appreciative colleagues and friends over the decades -- who share the sadness in losing her.

Sending comfort and prayers to Michael and all Pam's family. We'll always think of Pam and Michael when we see the beautiful tango sign from Argentina. From two fellow tango dancers, Angela and Bruce.

I entered Pam's circle during her last pregnancy with Alito. I knew Jim a few years behind him in grade school. It was a delight to get to know Pam as I coached her through her last pregnancy, and delivered her baby. we talked often of midwife right and responsibilities. It was easy to see she would be a driving force behind midwifery rights. Anything she set her sights upon would benefit from her drive and willpower. much love to all Phil Grillo

Pam's work to support the causes she believed in was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. I met her years ago when she was helping the fledgling national midwifery organizations grow and prosper - work that she continued to support for the rest of her life. We will all miss her terribly, and are grateful for all the wisdom and experience that she gave so freely.

I am very sorry for the loss of Pam and miss her dearly. She was my friend and a great boss and helped me find and navigate a good job for six years - which is rare to have had these days. Please accept my sincere condolences. Wishing her a stiff drink in heaven. - Ellen Chandler
