My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Simek family. Though I hadn't seen Jerry in years, I'll never forget what a kind and generous man he was. May he rest in peace.

I am so very sorry to the Simek family for their loss.A great friend who was like a brother to me especially up at deer camp. The morning talks while everybody else was still sleeping are some of the memories I won't forget. Our moments we shared I will miss you very much and you will always in my thoughts .

Jerry, you will be remembered by many, but most as a Cicero Police Officer. You were a great partner to many, mentor to many, and an all around stand up person. Your sense of humor and smirky smile at the department was one of your standout features, but the love of your job in making sure things were done right will be remembered by all. Rest In Peace.

Dear Judi, I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. I lost mine a year ago this July and know how devastated you are. I will pray for him, you and the rest of the family. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, one step at a time. It isn't easy, but you just have to try and stay strong. I'm so so sorry. My condolences, Pam McGrath Colasurdo
