Tribute & Message From The Family

Kathleen M. (Connolly) Miller of Lanark, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 13, 2019. She was born September 22, 1944 in Chicago, IL.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bob Miller Sr.; children, Bob (Theresa) Miller Jr, Laura (Russ) Huggins, Judy (Brian) Lentz and Lisa (Tom) Erdman; her sister, Therese Connolly; her brother, Walt Connolly and her grandchildren Daniel, Shane, Austin and Ryan Miller, Nick and Nathan Huggins, Zack, Kaleigh, Emily and Molly Lentz and Sarah and Katie Erdman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Alice Connolly; her brothers and sisters, Edward Connolly, Alice (Bob) Garand, John Connolly, Irene Connolly and Joe (Ronnie) Connolly along with sister-in-law, Janice Miller and brother-in-law, John Miller.

Kathy was a graduate of Aquinas High School in Chicago. Kathy was a long-time insurance representative for State Farm Insurance in Aurora. Kathy was a humble servant willing to help others as a founding member of St Anne's unit 23, past president of that unit and president of general St Anne's units at Holy Angels. Kathy mentored along with her husband Bob other married couples as part of the Marriage Encounter Worldwide organization and engaged couples within the Holy Angels parish. Kathy was also a past president of Rosary High School Sports Boosters in Aurora.

Family time was Kathy's true passion in life. Growing up the youngest of eight children of a lively south-side Irish Catholic family, she learned early on what family parties were all about. That passion for gathering with her family was prevalent throughout her entire adult life, up until the very end battling to hang on to do and see much more with her family. Whether it be in the football stands, alongside a baseball or softball field or driving around a golf course, Kathy always scheduled her days around the grandkids school and sporting events. She cherished every moment of family time never wanting to miss out on a gathering or event. In retirement, she enjoyed cruising and traveling with her husband Bob, as well as crocheting blankets for each new grandchild welcomed into the family.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 11 A.M. at Holy Angels Church, Lancaster and Hardin, Aurora, IL. Father Michael Bolger will preside the mass with a celebration of Kathy's life to follow. Visitation will be Friday, October 25, 2019 from 3- 8 P.M. at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A luncheon and time to share will be held at the Aurora Country Club, 1548 Prairie St., Aurora, IL following the mass.

Aunt Kathy you have touched so many by the way you lived your life and your kindness to everyone. I will miss you dearly and so will everyone who had the opportunity to know you. I feel a little better when I think about the big reunion in heaven in your honor with all your loved ones. I see Grams smiling like she did so often when she is with you once again.
