Message From The Family

In lieu of flowers or donations, please share photos or "Dick stories", either about him or as told by him. Post here or mail to 675 Overspin Drive, Winter Park, FL.

Richard "Dick" Reeves Priest, 86, died peacefully at home on June 26, 2020 in Apopka, Florida.

Dick is survived by his wife, Dickie Lee Hebert Priest; daughter, Tracy Priest Heath (Robert), Winter Park, FL; grandchildren, Bryan "Alex" Heath and Richard "Adam" Heath, both of Orlando, FL.

Dick was born on February 14, 1934 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Fern Reeves Priest and Curtis Priest. He met Dickie at The University of Missouri, where he earned a degree in fine art. They married in 1957. Dick and Dickie moved to Springfield, MO, when he went to work for Broyhill Furniture Company. They moved to Florida in 1989 to be closer to family.

After reluctantly taking up golf in his thirties, Dick spent the next fifty years avidly trying to perfect his game. Over the years, he continued to use his artistic talent to design homes for himself and other friends and family. An animal lover, he had a special way with dogs and his Missouri Fox Trotters. He loved to poke fun as much as he loved a good argument, and always had a story to tell. All who knew him well, knew they could count on him, whether to lend a hand or a sympathetic ear.

At his request no services will be held.
