Tribute & Message From The Family

Mrs. Carolyn E. French, age 68, of Goodwin, died Thursday at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis. She had been in the hospital for the past nine days.

Mrs. French was born January 18, 1942, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was the daughter of James Wofford and Vida Waymack Edwards. She lived in Moro part of her life, was an employee of Entergy Corporation for thirty-six years, and was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church.

Mrs. French married Anthony French in 1960, and he survives her along with two sons; Anthony K. French of Kyle, Texas, and James S. 'Steve' French of Palestine, one daughter, Lori A. French Hill of Hernando, Mississippi, one sister, Martha Dye of Bartlett, Tennessee, six grandchildren; Alishea, Elizabeth, Jamie, Anna, Ryan, and Emma, and two great-grandchildren; Garrett and Dylan.

Services for Mrs. French will be held at the Salem United Methodist Church, 2:00 P.M., Sunday, with burial in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials are to be made to the Salem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 95, Salem, Arkansas, 72576. You may log on to for the on line registry.
