I met Nancy 1979-1980 when I worked at the Town Hall with John Julian & Ialeen Dunn. I was 19-20yrs old. I remember Nancy as a very sweet person. Back then, bluejeans with patches all over them were in style....LOL!! Nancy used to tell me "bring in your jeans, I will put the patches on for you." I would bring her an arm full on a Friday, and on Monday morning she would hand them all back to me with patches everywhere!!!! She didn't have to do that for me....but she did....and I still remember her act of kindness to this day! Your Grandmother was a special women. I am very sorry for your loss.

I met Nancy in September of 2011 at the Star Hill Athletic Center. I was so heart broken when I found out about Nancy and my heart goes out to her family, specifically her grandchildren. She spoke so highly about her two grandchildren and she would always get a twinkle in her eye when she spoke about their progress or when she had a great weekend with them.
The moment I met Nancy, she was friendly and always had a smile on her face. She was an amazing woman who went through so much in her lifetime, but what amazed me the most is that she was always so compassionate towards everyone who came to the pool.
I am so sorry for the loss of this wonderful woman. My heart and prayers go out to her friends and family.

Lo and behold

Nancy was such a good friend and great person to work with at the Town Hall. I first met Nancy when I worked as a reporter covering Stafford, she would happily allow my two toddlers to sit in a corner of her office while I made the rounds of the offices. They adored her, not only for the endless supply of candy which she had in her desk drawer, but also because she was so loving and kind.

Later, when I began my employ for the First Selectman in 1978, the Building Department was my first stop on the way into the building each morning. Nancy always had a smile on her face and would share the latest news. We were the recipient of some wonderful baked goods which she contributed to coffee hours and birthday celebrations. Her office hospitality was renowned. We still remember fondly her retirement party, where she was honored by the attendance and words of the four First Selectmen under whom she had served.

Nancy loved her family. from childhood, her sisters and brothers were her very best friends. She and Ken made a lovely home for their two children, enjoying watching them grown up in the community with a multitude of cousins and friends. So, it was no surprise to those who knew and admired her when Nancy's beloved grandchildren shared her home in recent years. They were the light of her life and she embraced fully this gift in her later years.

I have many happy memories of Nancy and great admiration for her courage, faith, and generosity of spirit. God Bless.
