Googled David's name and found this obit.

I grew up with David, his brothers, and sisters. I moved to Texas in 1966 and saw David irregularly since, seeing him last in 1980, with several of my classmates at our highschool reunion.

He was a dear friend, and my sincere and deepest sympathies go out to his wife Larna, and sister Donna.

I loved him.

Dear Larna and Family,

As you know, David and I met in 1966 while we were in the Army serving at a missile base in Grafton, IL. We soon discovered that we had a mutual interest in music. We started playing at several locations in the IL and MO areas. After a few months Dave's friend, Glenn Curtis, came up from AR and started playing with us. I will always remember Dave for his constant smile and kindness to others. I have carried memories of him through the years and have often told others about him. I am so thankful that Gail and I had the opportunity to come by your house several years ago to visit with you, your family, and Dave. We will be praying for all of you and we know that God will bless you with "peace that will passeth all understanding".
