Agnes Dexter
Williamston, Michigan

Agnes Dexter died Thursday, February 16, 2017. She was born to Claude and Ida Campbell in Williamston, Michigan on July 18, 1921. She met her husband Ron while attending Williamston High School. They traveled together in retirement, visiting such places as Hawaii, Alaska, California and winters in Florida for many years. Agnes worked as a teacher and later for the State of Michigan. Along with working full time she enjoyed many hobbies including canning, and freezing many things from the garden, as well as sewing, knitting and crocheting many homemade gifts for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also was a great cook and baker. In her later years, her favorite pastime was watching THE TIGERS.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ron and grandson, Matthew Dexter. She is survived by five children Joe (Marilynn) Dexter, Janet (Steve) Dunckel, Mary (Dennis) Swiger, Diane (Bob) Schriber, Gregg (Val) Dexter; twelve grandchildren Rob Dexter, Ronda Dexter, Tony Dunckel, Marc Dunckel, Eric Dunckel, Denise Mullins, Danielle Foss, David Swiger, Alex Schriber, Stacey Elangovan, Nicole Mulholland, Kyle James, fifteen great-grandchildren, her sister Rosie VanOstran, Sisters-in-law Marlowe Hart and Thelma Hanley and brother-in-law Mack Phelps.
We would like to thank Todd Walter and his wonderful staff at Crosaires for the great care they gave Mom for the last two years. Thanks to Kathy Kemler who made sure Mom's hair looked perfect every week. Thank you to the ladies from St. Mary, Celeste Sura, Lynn Raffo and Betsy Greene, who brought communion to Mom twice each week.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 157 High St., Williamston, on Monday February 20, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held 4-8 pm on Sunday, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston, with Rosary beginning at 7:30pm. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the Mass on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Agnes may be made to Crosaires, 5829 Zimmer Rd., Williamston, Michigan 48895 or St. Mary Catholic Church, Williamston.
