Ajit Samuel Lall, 82, passed away peacefully on November 22, surrounded by his family at his home in Richmond, VA. He was born on August 25, 1935 in Simla, HP State in India to Samuel & Sarah Hilson. Ajit is survived by his wife Myra, and his 3 sons, Sanjiv, Sharad and Amarjit.

Ajit spent time in both New Delhi and Simla India as a child. He attended The St. Columbus School in New Delhi and ECC in Allahabad, India.

Ajit and Myra were married in 1961. Since arriving in the US in January 1971 he lived with his wife and three sons predominantly in Richmond. Ajit was an active member of local Republican party, as well as a member of Indian-American Association of Virginia, American-Indian Fellowship Association, and the Asian Business Membership of Christian Fellowship. He served as President of the Indo-American Foundation for Political Awareness.

A funeral service will be held at West End Assembly of God, where Ajit attended, at 10:30 AM on November 28th (401 N Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229). The family will be greeting friends and relatives following the service. Burial ceremony will be at 3:00 PM on November 28th at Forest Lawn Cemetery (4000 Pilots Lane, Richmond, VA 23222).

A visitation will be held on November 27th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Woody Funeral Home (1771 N Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229).
