Albert G. Troop, age 87 of Albion passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Magnum Rehab of Albion. He was born September 15, 1923 in Pulaski, Michigan to Dick and Clara. (Laker) Troop. On July 4, 1947 he married
Alice J. Leightner who survives.

He was a resident of Albion since 1948. He was an Army veteran during WWII. Formerly employed at McGraw Edison as a tool & die maker, then was a machine operator at Decker Manufacturing when he retired in October of 1988. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post#3672 of Albion, American Legion Post#55, Albion Elk's Lodge #1798, N.R.A. and the Sheridan Township Fire Department.

Albert is survived by:

Wife- Alice J. Troop of Albion
Daughter- Brenda (Raymond) Nicely-Weston of Albion
Son- Archibald (Connie) Troop of Baldwin
(4) Grandchildren- Michael Hammond
Orran Hammond
Betsy Marshall
Mathew Troop
Many Great-Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ethel Okoniewski and Catherine Code, brothers William and
Edward.

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at the J. Kevin
Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Donna Tribby officiating at the funeral home. Burial will be at Albion Memory Gardens, Albion, Michigan.
