Albertine Marie "Tina" Mitchell, 45, of Princeton, passed away Sunday morning, June 5, 2016 at UP Health System- Marquette after a brief illness. Tina was born October 22, 1970 in Marquette, MI. She was the daughter of Boyne Mitchell and the late Renee Mitchell. Tina worked several years as a cosmetologist and loved the art of creating a new hairstyle or color. In order to spend more time with her two children she changed careers and opened her own day care center. Tina loved nature and animals. She found peace growing a garden and taking care of her beloved pets. Tina was known for her sense of humor and her love of pranks. She was a talented artist who could capture a picture in her mind and make it come to life on canvas. And like her father she was always willing to lend a hand and help others in need. Tina is survived by her loving father and best friend, Boyne Mitchell; her children Devin Alessandroni and Athena Potier; her cherished granddaughter, Aurora; her siblings Kenny Rider, Vicki (Chip) Nelson, Christina (Robert) O'Day and Dawn Mitchell; and her beloved pets, Flicka and Gizmo. In the end her mother said, "Come walk with me daughter." Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Canale Gwinn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Allen Mott officiating. A light luncheon will be held in the Peter Nordeen Park after the service.
