Al was a dedicated member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Midwest City, where he faithfully served his Savior in a wide variety of offices and assignments. Those who knew Al knew him to be a kind, even-tempered gentleman who genuinely loved people. During their married years, he and Selma traveled extensively throughout the US.
