Alfred Quinones, 82 of McKinley Hollow died Thursday June 24, 2010 at his residence, after a long battle with cancer. He was employed by the Gregg Company of Parkridge, New Jersey, a manufacturer of railroad cars, for his entire employment history, having retired as Vice-president of sales in 1982. He enjoyed boating, and deep salt water fishing off of the Florida Keys where he had owned property. He also had been an avid hunter, while residing in his log cabin. Because of his work related responsibilities, he was a world-wide traveler, and an astute businessman. Additionally, he was a talented woodworking craftsman.
He was born July 21, 1927 in Cuba son of the late Francisco and Mathilde Perez Quinones.
Surviving are his four nieces: Emma Horn of Florida, Laura Bedford of Sherrill,NY, Sue Horn of GA, Linda Rosen of NJ, and dear friend and neighbor Patti Rudge.
His funeral service will be held on Monday at 10am at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia with Fr. Joseph Sabu officiating. Burial will be in the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery Rt. 28 Allaben.
