Amanda Darlene (Daley) Monson, 36, of Enfield beloved wife of Daniel J. Monson passed away suddenly, Monday, (May 15, 2006) while on vacation in Florida. Born in Niskayuna, NY, she lived in Windsor before moving to Enfield five years ago. Amanda graduated from Linton High School in Schenectady, NY, and graduated from Springfield College with a B.A. in 1991 and received her M.S. Degree in Sports Psychology in 1993. She was a coach at the Little Sun Valley Figure Skating Club in Springfield, MA, and Enfield and a coach at the Skating Club of Hartford in South Windsor. She was a member of the Professional Skaters Assoc. and the US Figure Skating Assoc. Besides her husband, she leaves her beloved son, Austin N. Monson, age five of Enfield; her parents Robert and Barbara Daley of Schenectady, NY; her mother-in-law, Jeannine Monson of Springfield, MA; her father-in-law, Richard Monson and his wife Andrea of Glastonbury; a brother-in-law, Steven and his wife Margaret Monson of Bloomington, MN. She was predeceased by two infant daughters, April Eve Monson and Jordan May Monson. The funeral will be held, Saturday, May 20 at 8:30 a.m. from the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East Street (Rt. 159), Suffield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 840 Page Blvd., Springfield, MA. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield, MA. Her family will receive friends Friday, from 5-8 p.m. at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home.
