Angelo J. "Bob" Gonzalez, age 88, of Sarasota, died January 1, 2018. He was born October 19, 1929 to the late Otilio and Juana (Montes) Gonzalez in Puerto Rico.

He was very successful in business having owned his own real estate company in New Jersey. Later, he built a KOA Kamp ground in Jonestown, PA., which won a national beautification award. After moving to Florida in 1977 he opened Classic Toys Inc. of Sarasota, for 12 years before retiring full-time.

He enjoyed family get-togethers and activities and travel when health permitted. He enjoyed going to casinos and the dog-track, fishing with his grandsons and watching Alaskan adventures on TV.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Ruth C. Gonzalez (2002).

He is survived by his son, Alan Brooks, of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Karen Gutoski, of Bradenton, FL.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted by Associate Pastor and grandson, Steven Brooks, on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm, at the Faith Presbyterian Church of Watkinsville, GA., 30677

Inurnment services will be Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:00 am at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL. 34232.
