Anita Lunsford passed away on Aug. 2, 2017.

She was born on Feb. 19, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas.

She was such a loving and giving person and had the biggest heart ever imaginable.  If she gave you something and you hesitated to receive her gift, she would get upset.  You could never go to her house without leaving with something in your hands, ask her sister Yolanda.  That's just the type of person she was.  She was a giver. She would give you the clothes off her back if you needed them and on the flip side of that, If she was angry at you, you would definitely know it, she would make sure of that.  She would clam up and just breathe on the phone, if she answered it.  You always knew when she was ready to get off the phone because all she had to say was "Well listen"  and that was your cue to get off the phone.

She loved to sing. She would be on the phone for hours singing church hymns with her sister Veronica and also with George Rivas as he played his guitar for her.  She loved to entertain and be entertained.  She loved to dance and would say that it was her exercise.  Oh, and let's not forget her most favorite things in the world to do was to go to the casino and garage sales.  All her son, Jack, had to say was "Let's go up North" and she would immediately pack her bags anticipating a trip to the casino.  Her daughter Becky would always take her to the garage sales "to get good bargains".  She also loved to be in the yard pulling weeds, planting new plants and flowers.  She definitely has a green thumb, and it didn't matter what she put in the ground, it would grow.

Her daughter Maria will miss her famous words..........GO HOME TIPP.

She is survived by her daughters: Maria (Teresa) Picaso-Hensley (Bernard), Rebecca Flores, and Son: Jack Flores ( Margarita Farrias). Sisters: Julia Carillo (Jesus), Irma Perez, Veronica Picaso, Yolanda Sparks (Jorge Rivas), Cristina Cardona (Meliton), Lucia Picaso, and brother Fernando Picaso (Sally). She has 9 grandchildren, Adam Guardado (Pam), Jennifer A. Gutierrez, Anita (Nina) Maldonado, Claude L. Cox III (Ariana) , John Cox, Trim Rowan Jr., Jessica Ballard (Robert), Adriana Flores, and Marcella T. Flores.  She has many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her Husband: Horace K.
