Ann Asenith Rhymes Navarro went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2014.



Ann was born in Macon, MS on December 24, 1920 to Shellie and C.D. Rhymes. She graduated Monticello, MS High School in 1939 and attended Whitworth Girls School in Brookhaven, MS and Millsap's College in Jackson, MS.



She married Louis J. Navarro in 1943 and they had one child, Thomas M. Navarro. Proceeding her in death were her parents; Shellie Stewart Rhymes and Cassius Douglas Rhymes, II, Her husband, Louis Joseph Navarro: siblings: Katherine Rhymes Speed Ettl, Cassius Douglas Rhymes III, Lucille Rhymes Everitt, William Stewart Rhymes, Sara Rhymes Flannes and John Warren Rhymes. She is survived by her sister Lynda Rhymes Clay (Tommy) of Monticello, MS, her son Thomas Michael Navarro (Mary) of Tuscaloosa, AL and her four grandchildren T. Michael Navarro, Jr., Christopher Myles Navarro, Katherine Marie Navarro, Stephen Matthew Navarro all of Tuscaloosa, AL. and many cousins, nieces and nephews.



Visitation will be at St. Richards Catholic Church (1242 Lynnwood Dr.) in Jackson, MS at 9:30 on Friday September 19, 2014 followed by Mass at 10:30. Reverend Mike O'Brien celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Richards Building Fund or to a charity of your choice.



And a heartfelt thank you to a special friend and companion, Calvin Hopper.
