On July 1, 2012, Ann Olson, 71, of Alberton, MT, passed away in the arms of her daughter and surrounded by family. She was born on August 10, 1940 in Hot Springs, New Mexico to Samuel and Rose Tumlinson. The Tumlinsons moved to Imperial Beach, CA in December, 1940 where she attended grade school at Imperial Beach Elementary. She attended junior high at South West Jr. High School. She attended high school at Mar Vista High where she graduated. She started working at the age of 14, cleaning homes, cooking and taking care of others. In 1965, she became a bartender. She worked as a bartender until 1977. In 1974, she met the love of her life, her husband Ole. They married April 2, 1977 and remained together forever. In 1980, they moved to Port Orchard, Washington where Ann started her own business taking care of the elderly in her home. Ole and Ann retired in August of 2000 and moved to Alberton, Montana where they have had many adventures. Ann enjoyed playing music and was a world class pianist. She was a member of the Frenchtown Christian Center where she played the piano, keyboard, accordion and served in various functions. She volunteered at the Alberton Food Bank with her best friend Muriel Mead. No person or animal ever went hungry around Ann. She was known for rescuing all the cats she could. She was also a member of the NRA. Survivors include her husband Ole of Alberton, 1 brother Dave Tumlinson of Alberton, MT, 3 sons, Tony McLaughlin of Spokane, WA, Doug Olson of Alberton, MT, Jeffrey Olson of Port Orchard, WA, 1 daughter Teresa Schraw of Bremerton, WA; 1 granddaughter Linda Olson of Alberton, MT and 1 grandson Gregory McLaughlin of Port Orchard, WA and 5 great grandkids, Destiny, Gregory Jr., Katie, Brittney and Charlie, all of Port Orchard, WA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, July 6, at 7pm at the Frenchtown Christian Center. She will be missed dearly and loved greatly.
