Anne (Prosser) Turner died in her sleep Oct. 3, 2017. She was 88 years old. She was born in Indiana, to Canadian parents, in 1929. She and her husband-to-be, Richard Turner, were high-school sweethearts and married in 1951 after graduation from Northwestern University. They lived in Bloomington, Indiana for 30 years, where Richard was a professor at IU, and Anne raised their 4 daughters, received her master's degree, and worked for a short time for Head Start and a private nursery school. In 1977 they moved to Boulder, Colorado where Richard became Dean of the School of Education at CU. Richard passed away in April, 1992. Anne continued to love the outdoors and pursue activities she and Richard loved, such as traveling, biking, camping, hiking, cooking and gardening. Anne was an avid reader throughout her life and belonged to two book groups at the time of her death, as well as Gourmet Group.Anne was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and sister. She is survived by her four daughters: Betsy Katzelnick (David), Katie Rocheford (Torbert), Connie Cohen (Jim), and Judy Klase (Jack), as well as 9 grandchildren (Leah, Eric, Todd, Evan, Lexi, Henry, Hannah, Ben and Sam) and one great-children (Weston) and one on the way! She will be lovingly remembered by her family as a person of integrity, intelligence, optimism, and family devotion. A celebration of her life will be 10 AM Friday, November 10, 2017 at Crist Mortuary in Boulder, Colorado. Donations may be made to Emergency Family Assistance Assoc. or PLAY Boulder Foundation-path improvement or development.
