Anne Tyler Stuckey died peacefully on September 17, 2017 in Arlington, VA at the age of 92, surrounded by her family.

Anne was born on October 28, 1924 in Washington, D.C. to Louise Pitney Smith and Edward Moon Tyler. She graduated from Falls Church High School in 1942 and then attended Saint Mary's College in Raleigh, NC.

After college, Anne worked at Buckingham Studio in Arlington, VA, where she met a handsome young photographer by the name of Lynn StuckeyAnne and Lynn had their first date in February of 1944 and were married shortly thereafter on September 30, 1944.  Together they opened Stuckey Studio.  With Anne as the business manager and Lynn as the artistic photographer, their business flourished in the Northern Virginia area. Anne later enjoyed working as a switchboard operator at Northern Virginia Doctor's Hospital for many years.  She was also an active volunteer of the Idylwood Presbyterian Church in Falls Church and the Virginia Hospital Center Auxiliary in Arlington.

Above all else, she was very passionate and dedicated to her family and friends. Anne's favorite time was that spent with her family and she always made the holidays, especially Christmas, a special time. Her children and grandchildren will cherish their memories of summer vacations spent with Anne and Lynn at Rehoboth Beach, DE.

Anne is survived by: her loving daughters Elaine Gibson of North Potomac, MD and Deborah Kurylo of Falls Church, VA.; grandchildren Cynthia Gibson, Susan Mentus, Robin Wood, Stephanie Kurylo, and Stephen Kurylo Jr.; and four great-grandchildren Kaycee and Owen Mentus and Alexandra and Ethan Wood, as well as numerous relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Lynn Stuckey and her sister Francis Tabler.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22 at Murphy Funeral Home in Arlington, VA.  Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with the service afterwards at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Anne's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Anne T. Stuckey to: Idylwood Presbyterian Church 7617 Idylwood Road, Falls Church, VA 22043.
