On March 21, 2012 at 9:05am at UMDNJ Hospital our beloved April Faith Chester was called home after a long illness. April Faith Chester was the daughter of Kathy Chester and the late Leonard W. Chester Sr. She was born on February 27, 1980 in Livingston, New Jersey. She was educated in Newark at Branch Brook School and A. Harry Moore High School in Jersey City. April was a wife, a mother, a homemaker, a daughter, sister and very unique person. She was a fighter not only for her own life but for those she loved and were dear to her heart. April had a funny and crazy side, loving side, caring side, a strong willed side and an "Oh No You Don't Side" which for those who knew her understood. She will be greatly missed but always in our hearts she will remain alive. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Rodney Simmons; her two daughters, Teleghia Simmons and Josie Simmons; her mother, Kathy Chester; one brother, Leonard W. Chester Jr.; two aunts, Valarie Miller and Barbara Frazier; two uncles, Allan and Dennis Chester; her grandmother, Antionette Chester; mother-in-law, Josie Simmons-Francoisi; father-in-law, Roosevelt Thomas; great grandmother-in-law, Naomi Simmons; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of April Faith Chester. You are invited to add a Tribute in her memory.
