Arlene Annie Williams age 83 passed away peacefully Monday June 11, 2015 at her home in Cavendish. She was born in Cavendish, VT Dec.30, 1931 the daughter of Oscar and Edwina (Blanchard) Towle. She meets her husband George in the early 50s and bought their house on Densmore Road in Cavendish when the road was a dead end road with no power. He ran power for 1 mile. In the 50s and 60s Arlene and George had a store in Cavendish that Arlene ran for many years, everybody knew her for her Grinders. George ran his construction business building roads and ponds. Arlene worked at Singletons Store and at Crowley Cheese shop in MT. Holly. In the 70s she helped her husband run a snowmobile business in Ludlow. They sold enough snowmobiles to win trips to Acapulco, Canary Islands, Portugal, and Hawaii, twice with the whole family. In the 2000s Arlene helped Bob and Sis start up a store in Whitesville and helped them for 5 years.

Surviving are her two sons, George and Robert Williams and one daughter, Mary Lou Williams, 5 grandkids; Robert Jr, Prudence, Dylan, Kimberly, Mercedes
And 6 great grandchildren

She was predeceased by her two brothers, Oscar and Elwin.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the
Cavendish Baptist Church, interment will follow in Cavendish Village Cemetery.
