Arnold Treviño entered eternal rest on November 26, 2017 at the age of 70. Born to Alfonso G. and Amanda Treviño on September 5, 1947 in Pawnee, TX; he now reunites with his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, María Fierro Treviño; sons Michael Francisco Treviño (Sarah Marie Rinner) and John Arnoldo Treviño; grandchildren, Alexander Arnold and Penelope Christine; sister Cecilia Chacón and brother-in-law Fernando; and sister Sandra Treviño and partner Mary Helen Flores; niece, Desiree Chacón Saenz, nephew, Christopher Chacón, and numerous cousins.
Arnold cherished his family and was a loving, devoted husband, father, and brother. Arnold and María enjoyed cruising and loved their time traveling together. He treasured his two sons, his daughter-in-law, and his two grandchildren.
Arnold was an avid runner having participated in the Pan American Games, Beach to Bay Marathons in Corpus Christi, and two Rock and Roll half marathons. He was a CYO coach for many years at Prince of Peace.
After leaving the Air Force, Arnold became a dedicated teacher, coach, and administrator at South San Antonio School District where he spent his entire career.
The family will receive guests at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Rd, on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 9:00a.m. Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. A reception will be held from 11:30a.m. to 1:00p.m. A procession will depart the church at 1:15 p.m. for a 1:45p.m. interment at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
