Art Ender passed away peacefully in his home early Thursday morning, September 22nd, at the grand age of 97 years old. He was a kind and gentle man and will be missed dearly.

He was most proud of his family, and also his service in the U.S. Marine Corp, having served our country during World War II in the Pacific. He met Millie in Chicago, a farm girl from Irene, South Dakota and they married in 1946. Together they built their own house and raised two children. He worked as a mechanic throughout his life, having retired from United Airlines in 1982 after 23 years of service.

Art was a creative “handyman” and would often lend a hand to his neighbors, friends and his church family. He was passionate about fishing and every opportunity he found was either on a boat or flying somewhere in the “friendly skies”.

Art is preceded in death by his wife Millie, his parents, Joseph and Sophie and his sisters, Alice and Lucille. He was the loving father of Greg and Cindy Ender (nee Boris) and son-in-law Jim. Loving grandfather or “Poppie” to Amanda Boris (nee Boutin) and husband Marc and Ryan Boris. Loving great grandfather to Beau James Boutin. A very special uncle to his nieces, nephews and the many friends he made during his journey in life.

Dad, aka “Poppie” was a wonderful man. Fond memories of his kindness and sense of humor will live on in our hearts forever.
