Barbara Ann (Engleman) Harmon, 84, of Mt. Solon, passed away on September 18, 2017 at Shenandoah Nursing home where she had been a resident since 2013 after suffering a stroke.

"Bobbi" was born in Augusta County, Virginia to Clarence Russell Engleman and Lottie Lamb Engleman on April 21, 1933. She went to school with and married Hugh Hamilton Harmon, Jr., on October 29, 1955. She was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church and donated many hours assisting with their donated Clothes Closet Program. Before retiring she worked as an administrative assistant for the district superintendent office of the United Methodist Church and for the State of Virginia Social Services Department. Bobbi was passionate in her love for animals and cared for many rescue dogs and cats. Despite her many allergies, she loved her flowers and spent much of her time caring for her yard prior to her stroke.

Bobbi is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her siblings, Clarence Baxter Engleman, Sr., Mae Virginia Engleman Dedrick, Elizabeth Jane Engleman Callahan, Ruth Helen Engleman Miller, Louise Roberta Engleman Wood, Frances Engleman, and Jo Wilson Engleman Gibson.

She is survived by a daughter, Hope Harmon Hickman, and her husband, Gary Paul Hickman. She is also survived by nieces, Janet Mitchell, Karen Kranda, Carolyn Agnor, Barrie Kirby, and Kay Baker and nephews, C B Engleman, Wayne Dedrick, and Bruce Miller.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 18 W. Frederick St., with Rev. Barrie Kirby and Rev. Randy Kirby officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.

Bobbi's daughter, Hope, wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Shenandoah Nursing Home who lovingly cared for her during the last four years of her life.
