PALKOVACS, Barbara "Bessie"
Age 96, formerly of West Milton, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in Belgrade, Missouri. She was born October 17, 1918, in Dayton, Ohio, to her parents Barna Palkovacs and Mary Kender. She was preceded in death by her first husband Ronald G. Lee and second husband Theodore Sanko; daughter Linda McAlpin; sisters Mary Margaret Palkovacs, Violette Muha; brother Bernard "Barney" Palkovacs. She is survived by her children Ronald Grant Lee, Jr, Richard Douglas Lee, Barbara Ann Walendzak-Whitlock, David Allan Lee; scores of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister Mary Elizabeth (Palkovacs) Demus; step-children Catherine Lewandowski, Josie & Jeff Inslee. The love for family that sustained Bessie throughout her life remained to the end as a multitude of family members all called to tell her they loved her and each was told many times how much she loved them. She lives on in all those hearts she touched in life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, February 21, at Church of the Transfiguration, 972 S. Miami Street, West Milton. Rev. Fr. Gerald Bensman will officiate with interment following at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children Hospital.
