It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara "Bambi" Mariano Lazaro announces her passing from a fatal car accident. Barbara was born January 7, 1981 and passed away January 7, 2018, her 37th birthday. She was on her way home from work at Silver Creek Country Club where she worked part time while attending Lincoln Law School full time. Barbara was pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer.

Born and raised in San Jose, Barbara was a lifelong resident. She attended K.R. Smith Elementary School, Ley Va Middle School, Overfelt High School, and later earned her G.E.D. And as a young adult, Barbara was proud to work for KNTV, and as a graphic designer for several promotional companies in the Bay Area.

Life was not easy for Barbara, her early adult years were marred by challenging times. However, with the support of her loving parents Corazon and Wilfred, she was able to redirect her energies and focus on her studies, her parents, and family. Barbara strived to do her best in life, and coupled with her ambition, served as a source of pride for the family. She had turned her life around and was on her way to fulfilling the potential many saw in her as a child.

Caring for her retired parents, and helping raise her 8 year old nephew Jonathan, was where Barbara's heart was. She loved them soo much. Barbara studied hard at law school to make them proud as well as serve as a positive role model for Jonathan.

Barbara is survived by her parents, older brother Peter, younger sister Joanna, and nephew Jonathan. With the exception of Peter, all live in a home several hundred feet from where she passed away. Barbara's family, friends, and loved ones will keep her name alive.

We will all deeply miss her smile, her rapid fire (and occasionally loud) voice, her quick wit, and even her love of seemingly useless gadgets. We love your Bambi, may you rest in peace and love.

Per the family's request, if you wish to send flowers, please send white ones.
