Barbara Hamilton Vitale 80, of East Haven wife of the late Louis N. Vitale passed away on February 26, 2012 in the Smilow Cancer Center. Mother of Barbara (Tony) DeLucia of East Haven, Louis R. (Kathy) Vitale of Wallingford and the late Lynne Husted. Grandmother of Anthony (Meghan Myott) DeLucia , Marissa (Dominic Coppola) DeLucia, Natalie Husted and Christopher and Catherine Vitale. Sister of Raymond (Shirley) Hamilton of Wallingford and the late Patricia Brennan, Anne Frame, Bette Collum, Jean Fitch, Dorothy Harkness and Henry, Earle and Brad Hamilton. Daughter of the late Harold and Alice Bradley Hamilton. Prior to her retirement in 1996 Barbara was a nurse for the Masonic Home of Wallingford. Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven THURSDAY morning at 10:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call WEDNESDAY from 5pm to 8pm.
