Baylon Austin Pereira, 73, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 in Houston, Texas with family by his side. He was born on May 17, 1944 in Kenya. In May 1972, he married his lovely wife Liz in Nairobi, Kenya. They had two children Elaine and Earl. He worked for Standard Bank in Nairobi, Kenya and then moved to Houston in 1979 where he worked for Eckerd Drugs as an assistant manager. He then joined Girling Healthcare and retired in 2011. Baylon loved vacationing and his favorite place was Las Vegas. He enjoyed traveling all over the world and visiting places either overseas or within the United States. He also volunteered through his church by dropping donations off to Mission of Yahweh once a month. His most enjoyable past time was being able to talk to his siblings every chance he had.

He is survived by his wife, Liz Pereira, daughter Elaine White and husband Stephen, and son Earl Pereira, grandchildren, Jack Henry White and William White. His siblings, Ivy Fonseca, Gloria Desouza and husband, Edwin, Gladys Braganza, Henry Pereira and wife Rosy, brother-in-law Arnold Desouza, sister-in-laws, Estella D'Souza and Fiona D'Souza. His nephews and nieces, Esmond Desouza and wife Sonia, Bertha Kadam and husband Vijay, Hansferd Pereira, Royden Pereira and wife Pam and daughter Isabel Rose, Sharlene Pereira, Sandra and Osric Pereira, Sabrina and Austin D'Souza, Melissa Desouza, grandnephew Anthony Desouza and wife Elizabeth and daughter Olivia.

Baylon is preceded in death by his brother Milton Pereira and his wife Lydia, sister, Margaret Desouza, brother-in-laws, Damian Fonseca, Edgar Braganza and Joseph D'Souza.

I lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Baylon Pereira and they will mail the acknowledgements to the family.
