Bernice was born Dec. 1, 1917, to Emmett and Eppie Blair of Childress. Bernice was one of seven children raised in Childress. She met her husband William Albert Glenn of Childress on 1934 and married in 1935. They remained happily married for more than 50 years. Bernice and her family moved to Amarillo in 1951, where she worked for Northwest Texas Hospital as a central supply tech until her retirement in 1986. Bernice loved cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and Church at Quail Creek. She loved talking and could make a new friend wherever she went. When asked what the secret to living until age 99 was, she said "I never drank, I never smoked, but I loved candy and sweets." She was a fighter until the very end.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Albert Glenn; and a son, Jerry Don Glenn.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Garcia and husband Al of Amarillo; and a grandson, Brandon Edminster of Lubbock.
