She was serious when she wanted to let you know how much she loved you. It was clear how much she was willing to sacrifice.

Then she laughed and made the sunshine, even in the middle of the night. It was a laugh that made you feel safe and carefree. like you were swimming in warm waters and comfortable.

I miss you mom. I hope some day I will come close to your happiness here on earth. I miss you and love you. I remember the day that we sat on the front steps of the house. There was a rain storm coming and we sat on the steps. The sky was dark to the south and west. The wind picked up and you put my head on your lap and sang for me while you brushed my hair with your fingers. I have never felt so special. Thank you mom, for that special moment.
