Beth E. (Uze) Brass, 62, of Windsor, beloved wife of Richard J. Brass, died Monday (May 15, 2006) at UCONN Medical Center. Born in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of the late Irving and Rosalynn (Siegel) Uze she had lived in Windsor the past 5 years. She attended Drake University, DesMoines, IA and received her BA in Fine Arts from Boston School of Fine Arts. Beth had been an interior decorator and designer in San Francisco, Chicago, Nashville, Waterloo, Boca Grande and Naples Florida. While in Boca Grande she also operated an upscale lingerie shop and bookstore and in Mt. Vernon, IA an Antique Shop known as Beth’s Treasurers. Beth was a psychic and served on the Psychic Readers Network. For many years she counseled on the telephone with clients all over the United States. The past several years she had been in training as a certified sex therapist. Beside her husband, she leaves her children Timothy N. Coughlin and his wife Nancy of Darien, Clinton T. Brass of Arlington, VA, Kimberley Pardoe and her husband Lester of Boulder, CO, and Laura R. Sale and her husband Christopher of Hilliard, OH; a sister Vicki Koepp of Cedar Rapids, IA; and six grandchildren Isadora, Matthew, and Daniel Coughlin, Makenzie Pardoe, Matthew and Gavin Sale. She was predeceased by a brother Andy Uze. The funeral will be Thursday (May 18) at 6 PM in the Chapel of the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor. Committal services will be Friday (May 19) 10 AM at Elm Grove Cemetery, Poquonock Avenue, Windsor. Contributions may be made to Cushing’s Support Research Foundation 65 E.
