Arcadia, SC-- Betty Mae Moss Whitehead, 83, of 1150 West St. passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Calhoun Falls, SC on October 20, 1931, a daughter of the late Richard Furman and Goldie Christine (Hackett) Moss and was the wife of Hugh Hill Whitehead having celebrated 67 years of marriage. She worked in textiles for many years and retired from Hoke Industries.

She attended Springwell Church in Taylors, SC.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Patricia W. Sosbee (Butch) of Inman, SC; a son, Hugh "Steve" Whitehead (Maxine) of Spartanburg; one brother, Ozie Hugo Moss of Lyman, SC; two grandsons, two granddaughters and two great granddaughters and two special nieces, Patsy Hozey Manley and Renee Moss Kind. She was predeceased by two brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.

Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23rd with Dr. Timothy L. Waldrop officiating. The family will be at the home. An online guest register is available at
