Beverly Laino Oberbroeckling, 78, a long-time resident of the Richmond area, died Wednesday the 14th of December. Born in 1938 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, she married her husband "OB" in 1956 and together they traveled the world during his service in the Army while having four children. In 1976 they joined civilian life in Virginia where they settled to continue raising their family.

Beverly is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lt. Colonel Robert G. "OB" Oberbroeckling and her son Robert "Bob" Oberbroeckling. She is survived by her three siblings, Louise Phaneuf (Charlie), Rosemary Keohan (Edmond) and Joseph Laino. In addition she leaves behind three beloved children, Julie Grubb (Bill), Susan Howard and Scott Oberbroeckling (Crystal). Beverly leaves a legacy as a fun-loving "Nana" to 9 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Bev loved traveling, entertaining, decorating and time in her many flower gardens. She was always able to fill family dinners, birthdays and holidays with a special kind of magic and fun. Her strong will, love for adventure and friendship will be missed by all who enjoyed her company.

The family will hold visitation at Woody Funeral Home - Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23116 from 3 - 5 pm on Sunday, December 18, 2016. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Virginia Veteran's Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Court House, VA 23002.
