TEVOLITZ - Beverly (Bev) H. Tevolitz (Arotsky), 76 of Prescott Valley, AZ, formerly a 39 year resident of Monroe, CT, passed away peacefully in Playa del Rey, CA on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 following a one year battle against liver cancer. Born the daughter of the late Howard Hyman and Freda (Levine) Arotsky on June 2, 1943 in New Haven, CT. Granddaughter to Barney and Anna (Cohen) Arotsky and Nathan and Lena (Swjadosch) Levine. She was predeceased one year before by her husband of 53 years, Malen (Mal) Z. Tevolitz and survived by her beloved daughter, Laurel Tevolitz of Playa del Rey, CA and sons Craig and Richard (Baiano) Tevolitz of Boston, MA. Loving brother of Marvin (Kenneth) Arotsky of New Haven, CT and sister Phyllis (Larry) Schneider of Hamden, CT. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces. She graduated Hillhouse High School in New Haven and attended Quinnipiac University in Hamden. She worked briefly in administration for the insurance and civil engineering industries and was Administrative Assistant to the Principal in the Monroe Public Schools system at Monroe Elementary; in between being a devoted wife and mother. She was a lover of art, gardening, cooking, crafting, travel, Bassett Hounds and a passionate reader of thousands of books. As an NRA Member and supporter of the Second Amendment; Bev was a firearms enthusiast and markswoman. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her. Internment will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park, 90 Pine Rock Avenue, New Haven, CT 06515 on Sunday, February 9th, 2020 at noon.
