Beverly Ann Fowler Norman, 85, passed away peacefully at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. She was born on June 29, 1932 in Tampa, Florida to the late Raymond Justin and Grace Stanley Fowler.
She attended the University of Florida and graduated from Western Carolina with a bachelor's degree in education. She raised her family in Clemmons and retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school system after a long career teaching business at West Forsyth High School. After retiring to Waynesville with her husband, Tom, they spent many years enjoying life in the mountains, taking classes at Haywood Community College, and caring for their family. She gave sacrificially to her family throughout her life without regard to her own needs. She spent her final years back in Winston-Salem close to her loving family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Thomas Franklin Norman Sr. and her brother, Richard Fowler. She is survived by three children, Thomas F. Norman Jr., Laura N. Motsinger & Margaret N. Brown and husband Tim of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Justin Baker, Morgan Brown, Travis Norman, Caitlin MacGregor and Cody Motsinger; and one great-grandson, Alasdair MacGregor.
Always a great conversationalist, Bev's passing will leave the holiday dinner table a bit quieter this year. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, Beverly would have loved for friends & family make charitable gifts to Haywood Technical College.
