Billy Joe Miller, 74, of Peoria passed away at 9:00 pm Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born August 29, 1942 in Smithville, AR the son of Perry and Lora Freeman Miller. He married Anita McNeil on April 25, 1965 in Brimfield.

Billy is survived by his wife of 52 years; his children, Sheila (Rick) Estes of N Pekin, Bob (Cindy) Miller of Glasford, Diane (Greg) Gaa of Bartonville, and Cyndi (Eric) Moreland of Spring Bay; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Betty (Al) Weiss of Washburn, and Mary Ashley of Metamora; one brother, Jack (Candace) Miller of Foley, Al; and one sister-in-law, Karen Miller of Washburn.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James.

Billy worked at Caterpillar Inc. as an Inspector until his retirement on June 1, 1998. He also was a Volunteer Fireman for Marquette Heights for over fifteen years.

He attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Morton.

Billy was an avid Cardinal Fan. He also loved to paint and fish.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, June 12, 2017 from 5-7:00 pm also at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Mincy will officiate.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
