Bob L. Madison, age 90, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Pressonville, KS to the late Caleb and Maudie (Caton) Madison. He grew up on a small farm near Paola, KS where he trained horses to earn extra money to help support the family. Bob enlisted in the US Army and served during WWII. After the war he returned home to marry his high school sweetheart, Patricia Lorraine (Patty) Bair. They were united in marriage on April 10, 1949. Bob worked for the Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. for many years as a regulator man. He took pride in helping bring natural gas to the residents living near him and serving on the Osage Valley School Board.



Preceding Bob in death was his parents, Caleb and Maudie Madison and one sister, Dorothy McMahan. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Patty Madison; son, Russell J. Madison; daughter, Gail Madison and her spouse, Barbara Hobbs; grandchildren, Andrew and Dana Madison; sister, Mary Ellen Gilchrist and her husband Don; brother-in-law, Damon McMahan; and nephews, Michael McMahan and Brad Gilchrist.



The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Anderson Clayton Funeral Home, 301 W. Nash, Terrell, TX, 75160. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 11am Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211 with Rev. Chris Allen officiating. Pallbearers will be Rick Andrews, Russell Madison, Andrew Madison, Ned Bryant, Michael McMahan and Wes Crenshaw.
