Mr. Bobby Jack Swafford age 84 of Jarvis, KY the husband of Virgie Lawson Swafford passed away Monday night, December 5, 2016 in the Barbourville Hospital. He was born on May 25, 1932 to Chester and Hattie Mae (Bonham) Swafford. He was a member of the Swan Pond Baptist Church and was retired from the railroad and had been a construction worker. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves behind to mourn his passing, his wife Virgie Swafford of Jarvis, four sons, Eugene Swafford of Barbourville, Jeff Swafford and wife Becky of Gainesville, Georgia, Dewayne Swafford and Charles Swafford both of Barbourville, five daughters, Brenda Swafford of Dayton, Ohio, Alene Baker and husband Darrel of Barbourville, Imogene Crawford of Batavia, Iowa, Vickie Swafford of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Linda Swafford and husband Mark of Barbourville, one sister, Juanita Miller of Woodbine, KY, seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Jack Swafford will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Glenn Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be, Charles Keys, Steven Smith, Patrick Ballew, Ryan Crawford, Marcus Swafford, Mark Smith, Darrel Baker, Kolten Swafford, John Hubbard and Jody Brock. Burial will follow in the Swafford Cemetery at Jarvis. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received in the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
