Bonnie Kay Becmer, 71, departed this life on 12/7/17 and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was the beloved daughter of Clyde and Mona Hardy, and brought them joy throughout their lives.

Bonnie and husband Raymond Becmer, whom she met on a blind date, enjoyed more than fifty years together. They shared their love with their children, Carolyn(Ritchie) Flesher and Brian(Lori) Becmer. Bonnie was fond of saying she "Love you to the Moon and back," and was known for her sweet smile, and love for her family and friends. There was no celebration too far away to keep her from enjoying the milestones of her family, like birthdays and confirmations. She was proud to see her grandsons Jordan and Evan achieve the rank of Eagle Scout and her Brian's promotions throughout his career.

Bonnie worked as Deputy Clerk of Court for 16 years while living in LaPlata, MD. Upon their retirement, Bonnie and Raymond chose Sunset Beach, NC as their home, where Bonnie volunteered with the Colonial Dames Organization, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She had a great passion for genealogy and spent countless hours doing family research. Her friends would say that her humbleness and selflessness meant that she was always there to lend a hand, and always saw the good in people.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Debbie Hardy Thompson of West Virginia.

The family would like to thank, Dr. Richard Beldack of the Duke ALS Clinic, and the nurses and staff of Liberty Homecare and Hospice Supply, NC for their amazing care and support of Bonnie and her family.

In lieu of customary remembrances the family requests with gratitude that monetary donations be made in her name to The ALS Association, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 37022, Boone, IA 50037-0022 or to Liberty Hospice at PO Box 200, Supply, NC 28462.

Friends may pay their respects and share their stories of Bonnie during her memorial service at 11 am Friday, December 15, 2017 at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 1100 8th Avenue N, North Myrtle Beach, SC.
