Bonnye age 71 died of complications from breast cancer on November 23, 2017 in Nacogdoches, TX. She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, on December 7, 1945 to Lillian Conger Moore of Parkersburg and Eugene Otis Moore of Sherman Texas, and raised by her great aunt and uncle, Cora & Ed Conger on their farm off Windy Ridge in Wirt County.

She was a 1964 graduate of Gilmore High School, Sandyville, WV and was a 1960 Golden Horseshoe Winner from Jackson County.
