Brian Mason
"Go Utes"

David Brian Mason, 46, passed away on January 7, 2018 after battling cancer for several years. Words cannot express the endurance and fight he had to stay with his family and provide for them as long as possible. His family is grateful for his love and glad his pain is no more.
Brian was born August 14, 1971, the first child of David and Bonnie Mason. Eventually he would have three brothers and two sisters. Even as an infant Brian was always in hurry- a trait that continued throughout his life. It was hard to keep up with him in many ways.
Brian graduated from East High School where he lettered in football. In his senior year he played on the Highland Rugby Team that won the 1989 National Championship. In addition he loved playing basketball and for 13 years he played "Monday Hoops" with his Dad, brothers and countless friends. He also enjoyed golf and "Fantasy Football" which he played with his friends every season. The Pittsburg Steelers and the Ute's are his favorite teams.
After graduating from the University of Utah he had a successful career as a Manager for Hertz Heavy Equipment Company. In 1999 he married his love, Michelle Magleby and their joy was complete when Ella and Paige arrived. Together they have worked hard, had fun and enjoyed their countless pets. As a family they remained strong and positive through Brian's illness. Ella will miss her Dad planning adventures for them to do and Paige is going to miss playing video games with her best friend. Both girls cherished cuddling up with their Dad on the couch and watching T.V.
Brian has an enormous circle of friends, some stayed close from his early school years. He touched many lives, helping wherever he could and his giving heart was so evident by those he helped. He left us way too soon but he will in our hearts everyday of our lives.
Brian is survived by his wife Michelle, daughters Ella and Paige. Parents Dave and Bonnie, his siblings Jeff Mason, Tim (Jenny) Mason, Tara Mason, Tanya (Lincoln) Hoffman and Russell (Debi) Mason. His in-laws Mac Magleby and Dianne Disorbio. Brother-in-law Justin Magleby, nieces and nephews Lexi Edwards, Jonas Purdy, Mia, Bode, Maxwell, Walter Mason and Jae Jay Magleby. Preceded in death by grandparents George & Leona Mason, Wallace & Naomi Harrington and Uncle, Randy Harrington.
