Buster Ellis, 80, of Richardson, TX, passed away at his home on Wednesday morning, January 24, 2018.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, January 29 at Park Cities Baptist Church in the Ellis Chapel. Dr. Jack Martin will be officiating. A reception will follow at 3 PM in Ellis Parlor at the church.

Buster was born August 29, 1937 in Mabelvale, AR, to CW and Ila Ellis. He graduated from Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge, LA, in 1955. On March 17, 1981, he married the former Lois Knight Bandiera in Omaha, NE. Buster worked in sales throughout his career, and was also active in organizations such as Mended Hearts. He always enjoyed work until retiring in 2011. Buster and his wife Lois attended Park Cities Baptist Church for the past 33 years, where he sang in the choir, served Wednesday night meals, and attended weekly prayer meetings. They were also active in Country Western dancing.

Buster is survived by his wife Lois of Richardson, TX; his daughter Susan Ellis and her husband Peter Garlock of Seattle, WA; his son David Ellis and his wife Delynn of Colorado Springs, CO; Laurie Bersett of St. Louis, MO; Shelly and her husband Dick Moody of Omaha, NE; Tim and his wife Terri Bandiera of Omaha, NE; his brother CB "Lum" Ellis of New Orleans, LA; and his ex-wife, Carole Waldrop Henk of Phoenix, AR. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: Clark, AJ and Madelynn Ellis of Colorado, Katherine Richard of Oregon, Jamie Marchand of Missouri, Brian, Aaron and Kari Moody of Nebraska, and Trevor and Tyler Bandiera of Nebraska. Buster also left several nieces and nephews who fondly remember their Uncle Buster.

Buster leaves a legacy of love and kindness, and he will live forever in the hearts of his family.
