Candelario Jaramillo, age 66, of Center Ridge, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 surrounded by his wife and family members. He was born June 25, 1951 in Robstown, Texas, to the late Encarnación Jaramillo and Cresencia Jaramillo Castañeda. He was employed by the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton, proud to serve in the US Army, a Christian, and loved being with his family. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, grilling, playing his guitar and was an avid outdoorsman.
Cande is survived by his wife, Linda of Center Ridge, Arkansas; daughters, Sonya Elliott and husband Geoff and granddaughter Octavia of Kerrville, Texas; Sharon Tuttle and husband Nick and grandchildren Austin, Nathan, Ashley, Mariah, and Aiden of Bella Vista, Arkansas; daughter-in-law Theresa Jaramillo and grandsons Alano and Joey of Austin, Texas; sons David Benefield and wife Jenni of Charleston, South Carolina; and John Benefield of Russellville, Arkansas; sisters, Yolanda Escamilla Jaramillo of Denton, Texas and Rosita Jaramillo of Maypearl, Texas; and four brothers, Guillermo Jaramillo and wife Doris of Pampa, Texas; José Luis Jaramillo and wife Leigh of Denton, Texas; Ricardo Jaramillo and wife Cynthia of Longview, Texas; and René Jaramillo and wife Denise of Fort Worth, Texas; six nephews, six nieces and many other family and friends. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jaime Jaramillo, brother, Rolando Jaramillo, and a niece and nephew.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Guillermo Jaramillo officiating. A celebration of life will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, at the UACCM Student Union. Private burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
