Carl D. Stemley, age 65, of Potsdam, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 14, 1950 to the late Robert & Eleanor (Reichert) Stemley in Dayton, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his sister Marsha Stemley and brother Robert Stemley. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Connie (Stice) Stemley of 44 years; daughter Heather Stemley of Potsdam; son Robert Stemley of Ft. Bliss, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters Elaine (Doug) Baker of Laura, Julie (Joe) Saluke of Eaton, and Cindy (Doug) Barnett of Miamisburg; step mother Francis Stemley of Florida; and special friends Chuck & Diane Kilcrease. Carl loved working on his corvette with his friends JD and John, spending time with his great grandchildren, playing with his dogs, cooking and fishing. He also worked for Dayton Freight as a truck driver for 35 years. Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Online memories of Carl may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
