Carlton "Carl" Winner died on September 9, 2017 in Plano, Texas, due to complications caused by his long-fought battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was 59.
Carl was born on March 4, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas, to parents Richard and Doris Winner. He graduated from Rome Catholic High in Rome, New York, in 1976. He later attended East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and received an Associate's degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting. He then moved to Houston, Texas, which he called home until moving to Plano, Texas in 2004.
Carl is survived by his son, Ross Winner of Austin, Texas; his daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Scott Honea of Arlington, Texas; his grandson, Henry Winner Honea of Arlington, Texas; his sisters, Kasey Kenderdine and Patricia Baranowski; his brothers, Richard Winner, Kevin Winner, and David Winner; and his stepmother, Edna Winner of San Antonio, Texas.
He is also survived by the mother of his children, Jeannette Pennington of Crosby, Texas.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Doris Winner, and his brothers-in-law, Timothy Kenderdine and Paul Baranowski.
A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2018.
