DiMatteo, Carmino "Carmen", 80, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016. He was the loving husband of Frances (Lombardi) DiMatteo to whom he was married for 56 years. Born in Providence he was the son of the late John and Concetta (Giannattasio) DiMatteo.

Mr. DiMatteo was an Air Force Veteran stationed in Europe after the Korean conflict. He earned an Associate's Degree in Engineering from Roger Williams University and then embarked on a rewarding 40 year career at the Spaulding Company/Image Max. He was the company's President when he retired in 1997. He was a communicant and active volunteer at Holy Angel's Church in Barrington. He was a Caddy Champion in 1952 at the RI Country Club and became an avid golfer. Mr. DiMatteo was a "Jack of all trades," able to fix or build anything and a true craftsman. He will be remembered for his fantastic sense of humor, love and pride of all his family, and joy and appreciation of life, without regrets. He had many friends who admired his generous nature and caring personality.

Besides his wife Frances, he is survived by his children, Mary Ann Lasorsa (Thomas), Anthony DiMatteo (Lori), Michael DiMatteo, Thomas DiMatteo (Patricia), Catherine Rei (Steven) and Matthew DiMatteo (Anne Marie); sisters, Anna Mansi, Mary Chianese, Rose Lombardi and Irene Ventresca; brothers, Rocco, Anthony and Alphonse DiMatteo; and 14 grandchildren, Hannah, Nicholas, Luke, Leah, Olivia, Julia, Austin, Sarah, Emily, Matthew, Cecilia, Lila, John and Brandon.

His funeral will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 9 AM from WILBUR-ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main St. Warren with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Holy Angels Church, 341 Maple Ave., Barrington.
