Carol E. Dingel, 71, of Glen Haven, Colorado died March 23, 2005 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. Mrs. Dingel was born January 24, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio to Harvey Stuart and Margaret (Stamm) Copeland. She spent seven years of her youth in Estes Park and attended the Estes Park schools from 6th grade through her graduation. She married Thomas Crawford in Palo Alto, California. He died in 1968. She married Paul E. Dingel on June 8, 1974 in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. They moved to Estes Park in 1993, and a year later, built their home in Glen Haven. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Newcomer’s Club and the Allenspark Community Church. She enjoyed music and sang in the church choir. She also enjoyed making crafts, quilting and traveling. She is survived by her husband, Paul, of Glen Haven; three sons, Kenneth P. Crawford and his wife, Sandra of Pardoe, Pennsylvania, David Crawford and his wife Valorie of Phoenix, Arizona and Greg Dingel of Tucson, Arizona; and two daughters, Joy Keller and her husband David of Bensalem, Pennsylvania and Sherri Barber and her husband Richard of Wingate, North Carolina; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Allenspark Community Church, the Reverend Rex Roth officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation or to the Carol Dingel Memorial Fund to benefit the Allenspark Community Church in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 1302 Graves Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517.
